Student loans have become a predatory “product” for huge financial corporations to indenture and harness the work product of the newly college educated. Universities and colleges encourage students to take them out to pay their bloated costs, like it’s a completely standard practice in the students best interest.
The Federal government turned its back on middle class kids and their “FASFA” standards are extra restrictive and designed to exclude most students who apply from getting low interest government loans, so they have no alternatives.
What colleges tell you when you apply for loans is they are "opportunity costs" until you graduate CumLaude and the "opportunity" NEVER HAPPENS! Now that I'm retired, I still have student loan debt that will be owed until I die. THEY LIED!

Student loan forgiveness is a terrible idea on so many levels, wow just wow. So a truck driver has to now pay via income taxes this bill for people that went to college and make more than them. Just one of tons of examples why this is SO BAD.
The government should not guarantee loans for private universities or for "for profit" schools

Americans must vote for leaders with integrity who are willing to protect our constitutions, democracy, and the rule of law. The integrity, core value, and principle of the leaders and the United States should be absolutely more important than any political party and policy. The foreign adversaries and Trump will be benefited from the violence and division in America. How can a decent person support and defend Trump who is unethical and has no integrity with a criminal mind? Trump pleaded the Fifth over 400 times on 8/10/2022 during his deposition because he knows he has been committing crimes. Decent US citizens should unite our country and minimize violence and chaos in our country. Our foreign adversaries would want to see our country leaders initiate violence and divide our country. Our rule of law should hold whoever breaks the law accountable. Without accountability, human rights will be denied, crime will flourish, and impunity for past conflict-related crimes will persist, undermining legitimacy and prospects for reconciliation. Do we want our next generation to live a life without any integrity and kindness? Do we want our society to allow crimes and violence? Do we want our country ruled by a dictator with no integrity for decades who used the presidency for his self-benefits? Trump's actions, decision-making, behaviors, and words have demonstrated that he is unethical and has no integrity for decades. He puts the life of the US spies in danger when he declassified the documents without following the proper procedures and if the documents are in the hand of our foreign adversaries. 1. Investigation of Trump violating the Presidential Records Act. 2. Investigation of Trump regarding his involvement in the US Capitol riot. 3. Investigation of Trump about his tax and bank frauds. Trump pleaded the "Fifth" more than 400 times. 4. Investigation of Trump about Election interference. 5. Investigation of Trump's Sexual misconduct. 6. Various lawsuits by police officers regarding Trump incited the 6 January attack in which they suffered injuries. 7. Lawsuits by Trump's niece, Mary Trump, and Trump's former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen. 8. His past lawsuits before and during his presidency.
After pandemics . Lockdowns and all these depressive things in life . Who knows when things like that may crop up again to uplift and give these youngsters a chance to live in hope is the correct time. Well Done Joe. You are a bold brave person. I think it is wrong to forgive the Student Loan Debt, because of the following reasons. It's NOT FAIR to Americans who already Paid Off their Student Loans, or who Never went to College; many People worked like crazy and sacrificed to pay off Student Loans, or paid their Tuition, Room & Board, etc., without taking-out any Loans. It's NOT FAIR. Instead the Federal Government should take other steps to address the Problem of Massive Student Loan Debt. The Federal Government should expand the ways that Students can Work-Off their Student Loan Debt. The Federal Government should drastically lower the amount per month that must be repaid such that the Time to repay is extended. For the Future, the State and Federal Governments need to do the following. High School Students need to be better educated on what they're getting into when they go to College, such as which degrees are likely to lead to an in-demand, lucrative Job. High School Students need to be better educated about the financial responsibility that these Student Loans entail. The Federal Government needs to put pressure on Colleges and Universities to get them to Lower their Tuition, Room & Board, etc. The Federal Government needs to develop a Tuition-Free Online University for All American Citizens. All Biden would have to do is Create a Free University Website, instruct the U.S. Military Academies to produce Videotaped Lectures of many different Courses, and upload those videos onto the Website, as well as make DVDs. Also Biden should instruct the U.S. Military Academy Professors to produce Textbooks to go along with the Lectures (the Textbooks would generally be Transcripts of the Videos plus Problems to Solve etc.). The DVDs. and Textbooks could be distributed and sold through the U.S. Post Office keeping the Postal Service in Business. The cost of such a Tuition-Free University Education would be a few thousand dollars at most maybe as little as $2,000. That's the Solution to the Problem of Future Massive Student Loan Debt. Biden's ridiculous Loan Forgiveness Program is Unfair and is just a temporary fix. I am extraordinarily disappointed in the Biden Administration, such that I intend to Vote Republican for the first time in my Life.

Now use that money, to buy up places near the university, and anything else that would be needed. Your far too greedy anyway. Probably still have the full amount of money from 1990's to today. Each of them, to be paid to educate, stuffs 90% of it in their pockets. Anything of every school that becomes greed, even if you have everything, I doubt you have everything. I was so lucky to be able to go to college and receive student loans to pay what I couldn't. I came out of school with more debt than credit, life sucked financially. I received Pell grants and state grants and felt lucky to get so much free money. I paid 100% of them, but I'm for relief for students and tuition rollbacks.
The financial aid system should be reformed because it alone is responsible for the tuition increases of the past three decades and have brought no similar increase in student future income.
We must expect more!
Hopefully the folks who are able to capitalize on the $10K aren't stupid enough to vote for this kind of politics. If they are, they should get a full refund on their education. You better be ready to have your college educated butts taxed off moving forward.
