If you want every oine to drive an electric car you MUST put in the charging stations at EVERY parking lot
Create charging station stops at the road sides where people can park and plug in and spend a few hours recharging
and you have to show that building batteries and solar Pannels will be less devastating on the environment then drilling and transporting the oil
I can NOT stand behind an idea that forces you to buy an electric car where there are ZERO places to plug it in and recharge it any place state wide
Now if you make some thing that never needs to be plugged in and generates its own power as it moves even on a cloudy day even in the shade
or
if you create a public transportation that picks up and drops off passengers to and from every major city in the union in large numbers at fast speeds and can make the pick up and drop off between once and our and once every five minuets
or invent a new mode of transportation never considered before
then I will stand behind that idea.
as of now, in the entirety of two hours in any direction from my house there are ZERO places to plug in a car for recharge, only ONE rail line and a hand full of buses that go to some places at short distance once every few hours
if these numbers do not change, if I do not see crews installing the infostructure to support them by the end of 2024 then this is NOT going to happen.
But I shall keep my eye on California to count road delays, broken down car reports, how long people have to wait with nothing to do while there batteries fill,
It takes me ALL DAY to recharge my lawn mower an hour to recharge my phone or camera The electric car HAS to outperform my lawnmower to be viable and charge at or better then my phone to make me buy one.
California is the most left wing state I am going to watch every thing they do under a microscope to see if they can out do Florida and there far right extremism just to see who lives a longer better , happier existence. This reminds me of California's previous ambition on building that extremely expensive "high speed rail to nowhere". EV cars has more of a carbon footprint until 400,000 miles. Actually whats best for the environment is hybrids. How dumb is our governments to put the cart before the horse. Major upgrades need to be made to our electrical grid! Get ready for lines California!
