Trump won over people who believe that they have a right to things that others should not have. These folks are told that they are being replaced, that this is their country, even though it was inhabited for centuries before they even knew it existed. These folks, like so many others, have been taught a false history and an incomplete history. They are enraged. So, when the con man cometh, he knew just where and how to strike. His dysfunction found family in their dysfunction. And, what does the culture do best, commit random acts of violence, especially on those they have been taught do not matter. Here we are, children becoming mass murders because violent rhetoric is so prevalent, it's become a teaching tool. The gun is the equalizer. They even went as far as to try to take down the Capitol and to hang Mike Pence because he knew better than to follow the con man further down the rabbit hole.
