Not saying it wasn’t a carjacking. But sometimes, if there is a personal vendetta between two parties or a hit out on a person, they will make it look like a carjacking. And if the victim knows who did it but wants to handle their own business, they’ll say it was a carjacking to get the law looking the other way. This used to happen all the time in Newark in early 2000s.
