You know what else is a contributor? All the body positivity nonsense. My family and i were at Disneyland this weekend, and my god – the obesity on display is staggering. Telling people that it's all good even though you're 30, 40, 50 lbs overweight, and often times WAY more, is just not healthy. I think the long-term effects of COVID isn't the disease itself, but rather all the junk food binging while staying at home during the pandemic watching Netflix
this decrease in life expectancy has more to do with the opioid epidemic. It’s an American phenomenon known as “deaths of despair” a term coined in 2020 by Deaton and Case and refers to the increasing number of deaths by drug overdose and suicide.
The way things are do you REALLY want to live long? Outrageous prices on EVERYTHING / so many illnesses / shootings / rude people etc
