I agree that loan forgiveness for student loans should be taxed but this should also include the tens of $billons of PPE loans that were given to so called at risk businesses.
PPE Loans were given out many owed by wealthy people and corporations and they have now been forgiven. It is only right that they too need to pay taxes on their forgiven loans.
I’m not sure that the socialist left aren’t onto something here. If you drive free market businesses out of the state then all you are left with is cronies or central planners saying,” what were we to do”? All the businesses left. And then they force you to join their union to get a job.
