Mary wins with her soft approach, reason and simple body language. Alaskans don't like at all hysterical and chaotic Sara Palin. She probably reminds them winter time in their state and permafrost in some areas.

Anyone notice how this woman won, not by being in the news prior to the outcome bashing, throwing dirt down at her political opponents but by running her campaign on her policies for Alaska and on ways to improve what is good for the people of her state? To bad politics can't go back to these ways instead of all the far sided drama that it is full of now. Run on YOUR policies and what YOU plan to do, not what OTHERS are doing or how OTHERS are acting. Wish more politicians ran for the better of their state then the political drama train.

Keep your celebration down. Now that they have lost the seat for a whopping 3 months, they are forewarned for November and may not split the vote next time. I wish she had lost, so that the Republicans could be surpised in November when it counts.
