The NFL records hundreds of concussions a year. So this year, they tested a new, safer helmet in the pre-season. The Guardian Caps go over traditional helmets and offer an additional level of safety. They’re already being used at many colleges and high schools. While the league mandated certain positions practice in them in the pre-season, it’s now up to individual players to decide if they want to continue with them.

They need to wear dresses
Thanks to Rugby Union & Rugby League, this tech is available. Use it!
Neck injuries do to the extra weight and whiplash from being hit at least it just practice hits what ever reduces head injury
Is it too late for Herschel Walker to participate in this testing?
I do get the concerns of beehives for men. Women with beehives in the 60s was fun for women and men didn't care enough to be bothered with an opinion. These helmets are something else. They can definitely bring out the vainness in men. (Something pro athelets want to keep secret as long as possible. It's a tough guy thing.)
So they put rugby scrum caps onto nfl helmets.
Looks like a granny hairstyle 💅👜
Concussions are real and shouldn't be ignored, they need to extensively text equipment for better safety
What a joke
Still, football players are likely to get neurological disorders. This wont help
I’ve use these in football. My school put them into practice my senior season, from personal experience I felt like they were less effective with hits to the head. With normal helmet to helmet contact I felt like the helmet slid off each other more effectively and the deceleration of the brain was less abrupt, as opposed to the guardian caps felt as if they would “catch” hits. I could be wrong but that’s just what it felt like.
What’s next? Some tampons?
How much more can you sissiy the game. It's an embarrassment
Meanwhile in rugby
real men play with no helmet
🤣🤣🤣
Looks like a beehive.
It's like the Coneheads on SNL.
