  1. This was a crisis long before the floods came, no one cares about these people.

  2. What a bunch of race-baiting cunts.

  3. When blacks fail it’s always racism.

  4. Access to White people is not a human right. Don’t want White flight in your city? Then calm down your pathological, antisocial behavior.

  5. Democrat leaders in MS since the 80's. 🤔

  6. O bet If we investigate pet projects and corruption we will be closer to an answer..

  7. Majority black council so lets blame whitey🤦‍♀️

  8. One of the most important things about arriving at a decision point is knowing that you are there. Churchill famously quipped that Americans do the right thing, eventually. He was speaking about a different bunch of Americans, yet here we are or rather here we potentially are (again, remember Flint Michigan). Water is the word and now, now very much is the moment. The situation in Jackson CANNOT be fixed. There is no resolution involving the existing system. This is the moment. Time to decide to decide and commit to the decision. The United States of America should commit to the decision to build, lead, fund, cooperate and (!) retool agriculture and manufacturing for the purpose of water purification, desalinization and distribution. Jackson needs water. Build that temporary solution, but do the rest. Build out from this dramatic failure. Let us demonstrate that this generation of Americans can and will proactively do the right thing and do it now.

  9. Affirmative action, in action.

  10. don't white people suffer from the water crisis too? why does everyone always go to racism as the play card when black people are affected. this affects whites and blacks. that's not racism its more identity politics and divisive.

  11. This city has broke the camels back with this bull. It's been corrupt individuals in positions of power that have known about these issues in jackson and would rather ignore it and pad their own pockets. They changed water meters then messed that up. Upped taxes where has that gone? We had frozen pipes for a week and a half. There has been undeniable problems with this city and it's water system and why has nothing been done. O because it's easier to apply a bandaid then to fix the problem! And now city officials are claiming they have known nothing. Now blaming racism as too why the problems have not be resolved. Looking to federal envolvement to fix their screw ups. At this point the entire house needs to be cleaned out and bring in those who can truly make a difference. It's simple the best church I have ever been to. Had the preacher in overalls. Not the ones wearing high-end suits and fancy cars or houses. These individuals running jackson are all getting high life status while their people suffer 😢

  12. Funny how they don't mention how it was Democrats who started, pushed and maintain racism and have been the only government for this city.

  13. Where is the budget/funds for maintaining the water system though? That should be either the city or state govt, right? Do they not pay taxes? Or they just get federal handouts. Very strange

  14. So it's a water racist! Black people are in office! Not white! So blame the black people in office

  15. Only ABC could promote such a ridiculous, inflammatory narrative. No wonder no one watches TV anymore, its a cesspool of lies and deception.

  16. Infrastructure investments cost money. How much money do Jackson residents pay in property taxes?

  17. It is racism towards that city I lived in Jackson and those black people are good people their left to struggle on their own literally the governor do not care about anyone that live there .The mayor don’t get approval of any government assistance the governor actually bar anything coming into Jackson federally ,it’s systematically shut out from any federal and when it does get an approval it also gets systematically separated into the system and never gets passed down ,they’ll rather build up in white areas and let the black areas get wasted

I’m a veteran I literally witness this for almost 3 yrs before I moved recently

    The entire city needs help

  18. I'm surprised they haven't blamed it on Trump yet.

  19. Jackson's Mayor and City Council are Democrats. Whatta shock! You deserve what you elect. Wake up people.

  20. So a BLACK MAYOR
    5 city council members BLACK
But let's make it about race.

  21. First off, it will cost at least a billion dollars to fix this, not 100 million. Second this is on state legislatures and the governor. We had a similar problem with power companies in my area, everytime we had a bad storm, 25k-500k people would lose power, while in the adjacent state, where they buried the power lines, there was much less disruption. Yet the power co kept asking and getting rate hikes to supposedly maintain the grid but they bought back stock, gave dividends, etc. So finally the power commission said either start fixing this or we will roll back the rates. The city since 2019 is on a 7 year program to bury everything, as is one of 2 largest counties that are adjacent to the city. Yet the largest, a minority population county that is the wealthiest in the nation, still isn't in the program that they first evaluated in 2010. It isn't just the South or Republican states.

  22. Why isn't Kamala doing something

  23. Environmental racism? There are other cities in Mississippi that are poorer than Jackson that are also majority black, they never had water problems like this.

  24. The state doesn't want to give any money to the majority black city!!!

  25. What the hell is environmental racism. Good greif.

  26. According to the people in this video there’s plenty of money allocated to fix these problems. Where’s the “environmental racism?” Catchy phrase though.

  27. Was the 90m the county and Jackson received from the state to maintain the plant racist too?

  28. Environmental racism…..very interesting angle.

  29. The last 8 mayor's in Jackson we're/are black. This is not a state issue. It's a curupt city government. Also, to my knowledge there has never been a Republican mayor. One party system doesn't work. It breeds curuption. Running a city is like running a business. You need to put money to the side for future upgrades. You're also supposed to upgrade and maintain every year and not wait until it break's down. This is purely bad governance and not racism. If everything is racism than nothing is racism.

  30. Jackson also has the highest murder rate in the nation. Black rule ftw!

  31. The sun 🌞 shines white light on the south.

    Freaking racism

    Next eating white corn chips

  32. Never listen to a guy that can't even make a goatee straight.

    This guy is crooked

  33. Black mayor, black majority city council, all Democrat.

    Blame white people?

  34. Environmental racism, right, do we have to have racism with everything?? Can't we for once just have a problem and fix it without calling the racism card?

  35. Money for Ukraine but not Jackson

  36. The drought in the western states… Obviously climate racism.

    Wow… That was too easy.
