As evil as Putin is you have to admit that the Russians fear of Ukraine joining Nato would be equivalent of America's fear if Canada had been considering joining the Warsaw Pact back in the day. We already know Russian (soldiers/police force/intelligence etc) behave like Nazis when it comes to torture and execution. The question is how much of this is the world going to tolerate? I understand that we don't want to provoke or enflame the situation as it is, but the alternative is to turn a blind eye to those who are suffering inhumane acts of barbarism. We must stand together with one voice, knock on the kremlin's door, and demand this ends.
When historians look back on this, will they say we did all we could? Will they understand our hesitancy to stand up to tyranny due to our fears of nuclear retaliation? Or will history say that due to our lack of commitment, many more lives were lost. Because we stood aside, the damage to infrastructure and the cost of repairs was unrecoverable. Because we waited to see, we gave Russian Nazis plenty of time to weaponize nuclear facilities in Ukraine. Because we wanted to push for peace, Ukranian heroes were encouraged to surrender, and killed by their captors.

特に、私が人権の観点から許せないのは、米軍・英軍が直接かかわった人権侵害行為の責任がほとんど問われていないことだ。
例えば、2004年4月と11月の米軍によるファルージャ総攻撃では、戦争犯罪に該当する「民間人攻撃」が行われたとされ、多数の民間人が殺害されたという。白リン弾や劣化ウラン弾等残虐兵器が民間人の居住地で、市民に対する危害を最小限に抑える手段を一切講ずることな大量に使われ、おびただしい死者が出た。
白リン弾使用については、イタリアのドキュメンタリーでその残虐性、極めて残酷で深刻な被害が暴露されている。アメリカ軍がアブグレイブやその他の刑務所で、拷問・非人道的取り扱いに該当する身体的虐待や侮辱などの行為をイラク人拘留者に対して行ったことは多くの証拠に裏付けられている。
こうした行為は何より戦争犯罪の可能性が高いが、きちんとした調査は行われず、ほとんど誰も責任を問われていない。訴追されるのは少数の末端の兵士だけ。意思決定に関わったトップレベルの人々、ブッシュ元大統領やラムズフェルド元国防長官、拷問を正当化した司法省、国防省関係者等の責任は全く問われていない。
超大国が大規模かつ残虐な人権侵害をして幾多の罪もない人を殺害しても誰も責任を問われない、そのようなことでは、大国の都合でおびただしい虐殺が今後も果てしなく繰り返されるだろう。罪もない多数の犠牲者のことを考えると怒りしかない。
イギリスにはイラク戦争検証委員会が設置され、調査が続いてきたが、未だに最終報告は出されておらず、検証は長引いている。アメリカに至っては全く検証・独立調査委員会設置の機運すらない。

The Russian leadership (if you want to call it that) has no common sense and care zero about life of anyone including their own soldiers and citizens. The only way to stop this stupidity is to let the Russian people know the truth about what is happening. Obviously, nobody wants to invade Russia but that is what the people are told. Get the truth out in print and video and broadcast it in every form so that Russian people can see. The Russian people need to end this war by eliminating the leadership and those with and aggressive attitude, otherwise nuclear plants will be attacked, dams will be blown up, cities will be shelled, civilians will be killed until the end of time.
