  1. Defs going to miss Mooney this Ashes… Hope she recovers well πŸ™‚ In the meantime, let's take it to the poms!!

  2. That's why women shouldn't play men's sport.

  3. I had my jaw broken in 2 places in 1991, an abusive partner threw a coffee table at me. I had an 8 year old, a toddler & a baby at the time & I had to drive myself to hospital because my ex wouldn't, he told me to drive myself & called me a drama queen, pfft. The next day I had to travel 3 hours away to a hospital where a dental surgeon wired up my jaw. He took out a wisdom tooth that was in the way, worked on me for 1.5 hours- all while I was awake. As I went to leave he stopped me & said, "oh, I almost forgot, keep these around your neck for the whole 8 weeks to cut this wire & that wire in case you vomit as you'll choke, goodbye"- they were a pair of scissors on a string. I was a mess, I was in heaps of pain & devastated with what the "man I loved" did to me & added to all that, the scissors & the dentist's cold attitude had me in a shocked, surreal state, it was a terrible experience! I've since been told by 2 dental nurses & 3 dentists that I should have been given surgery, under a general anaesthetic with a better job of realigning my teeth, they were all horrified at my story. I then had to travel 3 hours back home, not fun!! I drank through a straw with no solid food for 8 weeks. I'm now suffering from arthritis at both break sites, my teeth weren't aligned properly so top & bottom teeth don't line up & I have a large gap where my teeth have shifted over the years. I doubt any of that will happen for her as she'll receive the best, updated treatments, inc a better dental surgeon than I had!

  16. When we either gonna make the helmets better or the balls less hard?

  17. Some people just can't catch a break… Hope you heal up quick Ms Mooney.
Interesting thing is I don't think she was the one actually batting. If she was she would have had the helmet on. Best guess, she was pitching balls for a teammates batting practice and got a "come backer". If that is the case, I feel for the batter as well, she'd be feeling pretty low right now as well.
