The U.S. House passed a bill that would change the way Congress certifies presidential elections with nine Republicans siding with Democrats. The legislation would make clear the role of the vice president in the election process, increase the number of lawmakers to object a state’s vote count, and prevent states from changing their rules after an election was called.

The Democrats' idea of "election reform" is to eliminate transparency and make it more difficult to verify election results, yet some people are still so dense that they consider questioning election results to be some sort of traitorous villainy.
I'm sorry, but I want elections to be more transparent, and I want to see additional safeguards to guarantee that the candidate who receives the most votes actually wins.

What they passed was basically a measure saying a sitting Vice President can't throw the country into chaos by blocking a certified election if the other side wins. Which 1) Since the current Vice President is a Democrat, actually favors Republicans in the next election and 2) Practically every Vice President would want it passed also, since last time an armed mob wanted to hang a Vice President for not doing so basically urged on by the President their boss who was in the election. Its far from contentious makes sense to me.
