The loony left hate this because they want the UK economy to fail. Why? Because it is easier to force socialist policy on countries that are failing. The main drivers of this are the BBC. They are basically a tax funded socialist campaign group now. Their primary goal is to get a socialist government installed in the UK because the current government has promised to scrap the BBC funding. The BBC have been used to collecting a virtual tax to fund their operations for decades and they don't want to have to survive in the commercial world where they would have to compete with efficient operations

Well, when I was a forestry student at the University of Montana from 1963-1967, folks who could not hack the science and the math went to journalism. I would guess that those that could not had any science or engineering fields would have gone to education or journalism. Just an observation, but these folks now are perhaps the grandchildren of those U Montana grandparents?
Harding and Coolidge slashed taxes and regulations in the 20's. The economy boomed and the budget was balanced. Cutting government spending, taxes, and money printing is ruinous. What is happening now is proof.
