We absolutely must do something about all of these incompetent elected federal representatives like this clown Sen. John Thune who was at least sounding like he knew what was going on until about 1:30 mark at which point he revealed his ignorance or his diabolical nature by blaming this forty-year high inflation on "those massive spending bills." Folks, when we have these politicians on the GOP side of the political aisle blame inflation on federal spending which federal funding is being electronically generated (QE) since the advent of QE3, instead of blaming inflation on the greed/avarice of Big Corporate Business, which includes Big Oil, you have their true colors being revealed. What Thune and others are saying, and please correct me if I'm wrong, is that when the working class has some extra disposable income from any source, such as a stimulus check or a wage increase, it is to be expected, even accepted as a normal business practice, for Big Corporate Business to increase prices so as to increase profits which record profits are now being realized by the top tier essential consumer goods producing corporations such as Big Oil. This type of mindset is in fact saying that no matter how hard you work or how much money your work produces verses making money by other means i.e., , you will never be allowed to get ahead because Big Corporate Business has no restraints on their greed/avarice thus no restraints on their ability to raise prices even without there being any cost of production increase, as is the case with Big Oil. At this current rate of price increases we're soon looking at a loaf of bread costing $50 with the slices being the size of large crackers if there aren't some effective price controls put in place and sooner than later.
The entire explanatory narrative on how and why QE spending works is called Equity Spending (YouTube) or ES, not to be confused with the more politically correct, Left leaning, in my opinion, inferior MMT explanatory narrative on QE spending. P.O.O.F.O.O.S.I.E.
