if Putin use nukes on Ukraine, I think Nato and US forces would go in. The Country would also need tremendous amounts of aid to clean up from the Fallout.

My guess Europe has to be careful. Whenever Europe becomes Strong Russia maybe with English speaking countries triggers a war to destroy Europe especially German. Crimea and Brexit were the first shots from both sides one military the other one economic. EU economic strength was bigger than American, Chinese then when Germany and France started to talk about creating an EU Army Russia, UK and America got nervous. The end game Russia, UK and US will be the winners while EU economic and maybe Incase of war infrastructure will be destroyed just to set back EU.

I am PRETTY SURE that Russia has the right to "test" a surface detonation within their own borders if it's scheduled and necessary parties are informed. They don't get to approve or disapprove, just be informed. There's no stopping this. Especially if China is calling for recognition of the new territories.
The smartest thing to do would be to cut all aid and GTFO of Ukraine, fall back to NATO borders, and initiate Cold War 2.0
