Homeowners are coming to terms with a new reality as they rebuild in the aftermath of hurricane Ian. According to the Insurance Information Institute, only about 18% of Florida homeowners have flood insurance, most of that through the federal government. In central Florida, which saw record flooding during Ian, less than 5% of homes have federal flood coverage.

  1. Beware of scammers ☝️☝️☝️look up the handle for sure recommendation and guide he ships swiftly and got shrooms, lsd,Dmt,mdma, ayahuasca, chocolate bar, microdosing capsules and other psychedelic products. 💯reliable source.

  2. There seems to be a compounding acceleration effect that I’m not sure is talked about enough.
Global warming is getting worse causing more storms, people in the path of those storms very unstably will rebuild. I don’t judge them for it, but the increase in co2 output from more places in the world needing to rebuild will increase co2 levels and deforestation for so many places around the world rebuild more and more often.

  3. Bidenflation affects everyone

  4. There may not be another storm surge like this for another 500 years. Does that mean that people should not be able to get insurance. And for those of you that don't know … there is a 5000 minimum deductible for hurricanes even with very high premiums .Money that has been coming in to the insurance companies for years with no problems. So…. the taxpayer is not paying for it. Major Insurance companies are very wealthy , so don't feel so bad for them. That is what insurance is for. That's why it's called INSURANCE

  6. Almost every insurance companies in Florida have folded and now you get a policy and they cancel you 3 months later for no reason. Because everyone got their roofs replaced after Michael now they broke 💯

  7. God's Wrath on the Racist Trump Supports and Trailer Park dwellers who hate Latinos and blacks. These Trump Supports will pay and two more hurricanes are on the way now.

  8. Should flood insurance be made mandatory … should taxpayers just keep picking up the tab .. or should we reconsider the advisability of building in such areas?

  9. Of the eight tropical storms, Beryl in 2012 and Alberto in 2018 were the two to make landfall in the Sunshine State. Now Ian in 2022.

I know this sounds bizarre, strange, and down right crazy but if you continue to get hit with hurricanes why not move to a location without such natural disaster?

It would only take 1 for me to know I cannot afford to rebuild nor is it safe to raise a family.

  10. Hey…be conservative, remember that? Don't live beyond your means…oh what? Doesn't apply to you? What I thought…

  11. Hurricanes come regularly, and many people forget that many have always been catastrophic. People choose to live in their path, and the beauty of nature also comes with it's dangers. Somehow, many are always surprised.
