His mum and the public forgave him and embraced Camila. That he isn’t extending that kind of forgiveness to Harry and Meghan is a great concern. Insisting on withholding the titles that Archie and Lilibet are entitled to is baffling. No one is perfect, King Charles isn’t perfect. His kids love him despite the fact that he wasn’t necessarily a 100 percent Dad. He needs to love them back equally, unconditionally, regardless. Harry and Meghan may have stepped down but it does not mean they don’t care. It’s still obvious they care. They care enough to come visit and take part in things even in the face of the relentless criticisms. Taking royal titles off his son and grandkids suggests he’s trying to punish them. Is that not proving their point? It certainly is not what the Queen will do.
