Hurricanes are yearly. The press reports them to the public, as it occurs. However, many upon retirement pack up, and MOVE to 'The Sunshine Stste.' So . . . many new rookie victims experience said hardships !
I personally experienced this madness, as a kid. After my Dad obtained his Electrical Bachelors from New Haven College in New Haven College in Connecticut, he gained employment from Dominos Sugar in New Orleans, Louisiana. However, after TWO hurricanes in two years, we relocated again, back in the Nutmeg State.
Other hardships were experienced, on a national scale – M L King assassination as an example, however this was not personal . . but national. I graduated from the city I started, 13 years earlier and served my country in the Armed Forces for many years. I've been fortunate . . . I've been under the surgeon's knife 6 times, and, I've had multiple other challenges . . . however I've endeared these experiences with grace, and I'm now retired in NW D.C. I will not relocate to a Gulf State, and I'll be remaining in NW D.C. Every day . . . is a blessing ! 🤗 🇺🇸 ⛪
It's really disconcerting, because I don't understand why can't the national guard be called. Time is of essence for people who are trapped. I just don't get it. It's like the pathetic attempts when Catrina happened. I pay my taxes, federal and state. I demand more be done for folks.!!
