Some tickets are non refundable so you get ecredits. I had to cancel three Delta tickets early this year and had no issues at all.

It took me more than a month to get my money back from Delta. If you think being kind and reasonable will get you a refund, it will not. I told Delta if they did not refund my money for a flight they canceled I would go door to door and provide my testimony of how Delta ruined my summer vacation to anyone that would listen. I needed to threaten them before I got anywhere basically acting like an unhinged lunatic before they would do anything. If you fly delta and they cancel on you be prepared to spend at least 10 hours on hold to get your money back.
I need my money back…. soon as possible.

Can someone do a chargeback with their credit card company? In other words, provide proof the flight was canceled by the airline, provide evidence of how long it's been with no refund, get the transaction reversed, and then have the CC company deal with the airlines directly. They have way more legal power than a single customer.

Every airline operates under a "contract of carriage" it should be available on their website. When you write or call site it. Also know flight credit could be your "refund" read the fine print and be aware when you "agree with terms and conditions" to finalize the purchase you are agreeing to the contract of carriage.
Never got a refund infact I paid twice and paid double the amount. Tell God to fix that.
Airlines are juicing people for money. They don't care about customer service.

When government keeps approving Airline Mergers, you can’t expect the airlines to give better service. Lack of competition is a race to the bottom with only a handful of airlines dominating the market.
Has any Airlines bring back free checked baggage? Seats are tighter, less cabin crew, no food, etc
