Former Nigerian Scam Artist Speaks Out

“Don’t you think you’re worthy of being loved?” was the question that hooked an American woman into giving $248,800 to a scammer online, later tracked to Nigeria. Many online scams originate from that West African country. In a nation suffering from extremely high poverty levels, many see online crime as their only choice. Jacob Ward takes us to Nigeria where one now-reformed con artist opens up about why, and how, he did what he did.

  4. fool me 1 once shame on you full me 250,000 times shame on humanity.

  5. In a way, the scammer did earn that money by giving the victim attention that she deeply craved. Only, when Americans do it, it's called marriage, lol.

  6. Yes I love love love Nigerian men. I know they need money because the situation for some is desperate. If ever one was to ask me for money we'd have a conversation so I can ascertain what's really behind the ask, you cannot just assume they want or love you. They are human beings too that otherwise might not have given you the time of day had their circumstances been better. I love ❤️ Nigerian men!

  7. To the lady who gave away 1/4 of a million to a Nigerian lover boy scammer: There are dudes right here in the USA a lot better looking than this guy who are willing to service you for that kind of money!!! BUY AMERICAN.

  8. Lol typical BM not taking control of their country and complaining to everyone else. Typical American YT wm tricking off her money on jig a lows. 😅

  9. "They have no better option" Plenty of good men in Nigerians that are working hard to provide for their families and are not scamming people. This is not the only option for poor people.

  12. I'm really sorry and I would like to pay restitution. The problem is, my money is tied up overseas and I need a small cash advance to pay the bank fees. Please send me the money in Amazon gift cards and I promise to make things right. Also nude pics. Thank you.

  13. That had happened to me before! I was conned and I know I will never get my money back!! Ever! I was so so angry with myself and with the person who I had feelings for.I wanted the FBI to get involved with it! I wanted Justice!! Because of what happened… they took my money!! I learned a incredibly Valuable Lesson There! And I’m serious now… I will never Ever Ever Do that again. Me to be more Mindful from now on… especially with scammers!! I hate being played like a fool or Bamboozled! I was sooo mad I cried… I wanted to punch him including the rest of them who were involved! All the lesson learned there

  14. Back then the UN decided to provide computer/laptop to African countries as an education tools. The problem is instead of teaching ethics of what is right and wrong to those children first, they literally just provide them with a computer technology while ignoring the consequences if it were misused. Now, most of those scam are now originated from there and become a bad examples for other people from different countries to follow.

  15. This is hilarious.😂

  19. We use to go on these sites. And report these scammers. But the sites removed our profiles because we were reporting the scammers. These sites are allowing this to happen. And if someone asks you for money run away.
