Here’s how you satisfy both ends… pump oil and drive down prices. Take the low prices at the pump and add a small fee per gallon to help pay for EV vehicles. In exchange, put into law government won’t intervene with fossil fuel producers for 25 years, and open federal lands for drilling. Oil producers now invest in more refineries. Net price is now extremely low, and EV incentives are covered. Everyone wins.

If anyone doesn’t believe Saudi Arabia, Russia and Oil Companies aren’t raising prices to get short sighted people to vote for oil loving Republicans, they are kidding themselves. We are doomed as a species due to corporate oil greed.
The Strategic Reserve is intended for war and national emergencies. Biden has almost depleted it and he intendeds to deplete it before midterms. Then what? Destroying this country's energy independence is the one campaign promise he's kept.
I hope that it goes up to $25 USD per gallon for gasoline. That will get a lot of nuisance junker vehicles and vehicles of low income people off of our roads causing traffic congestion. This will also help mitigate climate change and make travel easier for pedestrians and people on bicycles.
