Wait, is everyone missing this? Is NBC News deliberately skewing the facts here? Daily US oil use is 20mm barrels a day. OPEC is reducing production by 2mm barrels a day. That's 1% idiots. So basically, production is flat, and yet prices are expected to rise? Forgive my French but F the analysts who present this as a crisis. They're gaming you! This is some economic and news troll BS.

I don't know where to end the very simple understanding here. President Biden just released not less than a day's worth of oil from the reserves, he released seven months of the difference, and only as part of the 180mm barrels from months ago. This isn't election year timing because it was done months ago.
I have to wonder if these journalists have basic quantitative skills at this point, because their simplified analysis is just plain stupid.
