The Pentagon announced that the Defense Department will pick up the travel costs for female service members who might be forced to cross state lines for reproductive healthcare needs. The decision comes in the wake of the Supreme Court decision that took away constitutional protections for women seeking abortions, no matter the state they reside.

Every single one of you has access to knowledge & you definitely should take the time to educate yourselves on what happens to a woman who is carrying a wanted pregnancy & experiences a miscarriage. Yes she wanted that child but now it’s dying inside of her. Her body is going into sepsis & she may even bleed to death. The same medications & same procedure used for an abortion is used for a miscarriage in order to save a women’s life. Every pregnancy is a risk. More than 3 million females experience a miscarriage annually. Ages can span from 6-60 years old, mostly impacting women between the ages of 14-40. Complications from a miscarriage can be life threatening & result in death. Reproductive rights are extremely important!

Abortion is NOT a federal right so its moot what state a member "resides in" in relation to where she gets knocked up. DOD is playing games. If a female gets knocked up in Missouri for example and is stationed there, how is it legal for the military to pay for her to go to Kansas in violation of FEDERAL LAW since she is a FEDERAL employee? Postal employees? IRS workers?
