I hate these Wrongful Conviction stories. Spending decades in prison for something you didnt do. The money doesnt give back the 30+ years that were taken from him, and he wont even get most of that $1 mil because of legal fees & such.
Why is wrongful conviction payout capped at $1 million? That's ludicrous, especially in a case like this. If the state makes a mistake, or worse willfully convicts the wrong person, they should be held to the same liability as any other defendant would be in a civil case and wield their authority with a much higher standard of honesty, integrity, and accountability than the individual.
Is no one watching until the end? The state law caps wrongful conviction payouts at 1million so he's not getting the 33…
33 million is not worth it. They stole his life.
No amt of money will get back those years and undo the trauma of being treated this way but I hope he can live his best life from here out and at least not have financial worries.
Well they need to change the law that caps the settlement at $1 million because of inflation. Plus he still doesn't deserve that 30 year imprisonment even if he was involved in the crime in a minor way.
So it sounds nice 33 million but we cap out at a mill but I'm sure he would give up all of it just to be out anyways
So he only got 1 million
33 Million $ is not gonna bring precious years back
We need to hold the Prosecution Accountable.
All the money Trump brought to America in 4 years, Biden took out in 6 months to Ukraine lol
Who knew the government was like the casinos? The house always wins!! 🤑
well the FBI protected Bulger that's why the state win she'll out the money.
that just sounds like ass bro deserves his 32 million
