WHY EXACTLY ARE THESE PEOPLE BEING ARRESTED?
DID THEY HAVE A LEGAL RIGHT TO VOTE OR NOT?
IF THEY VOTED LEGALLY AND THERE IS A MISTAKE HAPPENING THE GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO FIX THEIR PROBLEM AND DO SOMETHING PROPER TO MAKE THOSE IMPROPERLY ARRESTED WHOLE AGAIN, AND DO THIS QUICKLY BEFORE SOMEBODY GET KILLED THAT DID NOTHING WRONG

The real question here is WHY DIDN'T THEY PROPERLY RECEIVE THEIR VOTING RIGHTS BACK?

OR DID THEY NOT DO SOMETHING THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO?
OR DID THE STATE OR FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DO SOMETHING WRONG OR NOT DO SOMETHING THEY SHOULD HAVE?
OR IS THERE A PROBLEM WITHIN THE SYSTEM ITSELF THAT FAILED?
HOW CAN SOMETHING BE FIXED IF THE PROBLEMS AREN'T IDENTIFIED?
POINTING A PREJUDICE FINGER DOESN'T HELP IF THE ACT OF PREJUDICE OR PREJUDICE ACTIONS AREN'T THE CAUSE OF THE UNDERLYING PROBLEM OF WHY THERE IS A PROBLEM.
And I do agree that if a PREJUDICE is accruing it's TOTALLY WRONG and people should be quickly PROSECUTED FOR IT.
But the problem needs to be fixed so these people can properly and safely VOTE.

42 USC §1983. When the government tries to prosecute you for pretended offenses then you can sue the government. This Florida shenanigan is damaging, and ripe for retribution.

It's bad enough for states like Florida to take away voting rights for life for any felony, but to also prevent one from voting for offices outside of Florida, such as voting for POTUS, doesn't make sense. Also, how can they enforce a punishment that is not included with the sentencing; when the judge hands down the sentence, it never includes 'you will also be deprived of voting rights on all levels of governement for life'?
