Jerry Lee Lewis, a rock ’n’ roll trailblazer has died at 87 years old at his home in Mississippi. Lewis was known for his free-wheeling performances and songs including, “Great Balls of Fire” and “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On.”

Here's to one of the pioneers of rock 'n' roll, Jerry Lee Lewis. The man had a musical style of his own: Playing the piano intensely, knocking over his piano bench, shaking his body, and even pouring gasoline on top of the piano and setting it on fire. As much as he was into country music as well, I would also say that because of his rock 'n' roll flamboyancy, he became an inspiration to punk, heavy metal, and hip-hop musicians as well. He lived his life his way. Rest in peace Jerry, and I hope to meet you in the afterlife.
I was traveling down I have 4:35 in Kansas City passed over ice 70 close to the Chiefs stadium when it came on the radio that Jerry Lee Lewis was going to be an Excelsior Springs I said whoa Let's Get on Up There we went up there to see Jerry Lee just in time for the IRS to seize his band is bus and everything he had and we never got to see Jerry Lee Lewis I don't know why people want to screw up something good I don't know why people want to pick on people and start trouble we couldn't believe it
