San Francisco Police Chief Bill Scott said the attack on Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, “was not a random act” but was “intentional”, adding the families of elected officials don’t sign up “to be harmed.” Scott also said the suspect, David DePape, struck Paul at least one time with a hammer.

The glass was broken from inside the residence… definitely not from outside. If the claim of a break-in were factual, the broken glass would be located inside the home and not on the ground outside. BTW, why were both men in their underwear… why did Paul say his name is David and that he is a friend… how did DePape bypass all the security measures and gain access into the residence of America's third most powerful political figure…?

If this had been a black person attacking Pelosi they would have shot him… hammer or not. Do the police have bodycam? This is an unfortunate indication of what may be to come. More elected officials will be threatened or harmed. The GOP response to the incited violence and rhetoric has been to downplay, attack Nancy Pelosi, and encourage more violence with conspiracy theories and misinformation. If this had been a Republican attacked by a Democrat their outrage would have been deafening.
