He’s in his 50s now, and was drinking for more than 20 years straight. He’s sober now,(thank god) but it catches up with you, it ages you.
This was not drug abuse. This was abusing drug abuse. 55 Vicodins a day, permanent impaired speech, perforated intestine from constipation: Substance abuse on a level even hard core party people shun.
I always loved David the most. He was the best friend, funniest, and most talented out of all of them – his physical comedy&delivery are unmatched. Not to mention he is a great guy in real life and was the hottest. When he had his natural, longer hair – seasons 5, 6 you can fully see it. He has a big upper body, great arms, most beautiful hair – thick, in beautiful intense black color, he was the tallest out of the guys, great jaw& big, dark eyes, full lips.
Rewatch for example the episode with leather pants or the one interview from the beginning of the show, behind the scenes, it's on youtube, and you can find it. David was absolutely the most handsome (and his daughter is stunning, she has his full lips). Then it was Le Blanc (he is handsome but too short for me & doesn't have such beautiful eyes as David).
Perry was never handsome (I'm a woman& I can't understand women who think he was ever handsome). Never had any muscle, was terribly thin, didn't have a manly jaw, had nothing great about his eyes, etc. He also aged the worst.

I hate when media tries to make us feel bad about some of the most privileged people in the world. Life is hard for everyone but I wanna see the stories of people who weren’t making 1,000,000 an episode in their 20s for acting a fool.
This is a heartbreaking story. I was under the impression Perry had been clean and sober for many years, so I was shocked to learn of his most recent relapse and serious set-back from recovery (which has severely impacted his health). I'm no expert, but opiates and meth seem to be extremely dangerous, powerful narcotics that alter a person's brain and body chemistry – making it excessively difficult to remain clean and sober. In contrast, many people will typically tire of the insidious, insane nature of cocaine, and quit the drug after several years. This does not seem to be the case with opiates (whether pills or heroin), as well as meth – as people who desperately want to quit seem incapable of doing so. My heart and prayers go out to Perry and all of those families suffering from this horrible affliction.
