  1. I live in Hawaii but a different island

  2. News so lying. The images and videos is from Kilauea volcano

  3. It's amazing how little effort "big news" outlets put into clickbait videos like this. Just go look at some proper coverage like from Geology Hub or something.

  4. Still don’t understand why someone would choose to live near volcanoes 🤨🤷

  5. @ABCNews, I would expect better from this company to align relative pictures with the headline news. That picture in thumbnail is an eruption from a different volcano than what your "news" is featuring. Your thumbnail is from an eruption from Kilauea, and your news is about Mauna Loa, which are two different mountains. By putting that thumbnail, you are going against the credible journalism that ABC stands for.

  6. What substance could withstand molten lava? (Crickets)

  7. Anything for views…. mauna loa is not close to erupting… it has been at advisory status for over 1 year… currently with less than 30 earthquake per day… I live 1.5 miles from where 2018 Kilauea eruption started.. you need to see hundreds of earthquakes per hour before an eruption is likely….. also all videos taken are of 2018 lower east zone eruption that came out right by my house… not mauna loa… get the facts straight….

  8. Mother Nature is angry. We learned absolutely nothing during the Great Pause.

  9. The world is becoming more and more fun

  10. photos are from a different volcano pfft

  11. dont buy the fear mongering. we are all laughing… Mauna Loa has erupted 34 different times witnessed by haoles since 1801 w/ zero deaths associated w/ lava… it last reached Hilo over 1,000+ yrs ago… Hualalai blocks Kailua-Kona from Mauna Loa, and it last erupted 1801 with only 3 in last 1,000+ yrs… alohahaha

  12. BS! quit adding to the fear mongering.. FACT: Mauna Loa has erupted 34 times since 1801 with zero deaths. duh duh. and It hasn't reached Hilo in last 1,000++ years. …closest was 1881 and it took 9 months to go 30 miles and it fizzed out a few miles from bay in forest…
only threat is to HOVE at bottom of island but them clowns knew that going in, they've had many flows go through there c1900-1910s… alohaha

  13. I find it insufferable and deceitful that the lava flows shown in this video were taken years ago at a different volcano. SMH The news media is so damn corrupt they can't even do simple things without misleading people. May they rot in hell for their deceit.

  14. Can ABC also do an article about Markus Jooste and his corruption plus that of individuals money laundering into the UK?

  15. here we go with the media reaching for content.

  16. It is irresponsible (as well as poor journalism) to show images from an eruption of a different volcano when Mauna Loa is NOT currently erupting- it gives the wrong impression that the images are from a current event. I would expect higher standards from CNN. Shame on you.

  17. these films are from the Puna area. Mauna Kea eruption a few years ago that hit the Pahoa side.

  18. Ok, but using Kilauea footage feels kitschy….

  19. Great! Volcanoes now. Why the hell not?

  20. Can't we nuke it or just cross it off the map and redraw it a bit east into the ocean somewhere with a sharpie?

  21. Man I’m going to Hawaii in a week for my honeymoon bro stop

  22. Well as someone who actually lives in lava zone 2, I've only felt one earthquake in the last few weeks and I have a full understanding I live on new and constantly changing earth. It's Peles choice if she wants to create and destroy. Like most residents of puna, we are prepared, have multiple plans and go with the flow. Otherwise, it's normal daily life down here. I did drive down past the 2018 flow this morning and noticed a lot more steam coming up from the ground. So maybe we'll get a show soon! I'm just grateful for the USGS, they are so far being very transparent. Living here is a hell of a lot better than living somewhere like Florida, tornado alley or along a floodplain. 😏🌴🌈🌊

  23. Hahahah come on grandmother!!! Time to clean 🧼 the house!!!!

  24. Very Important Question: Can't we just like block the volcano and by block i mean we dig a tunnel for that lava to travel somewhere else. Like why haven't we tried to stop this

  25. Whew that’s crazy life threatening

  26. Seems like earth is ready to reset the population. Long live the birds

  27. This is bait..old videos of kileaua erruption

  28. my grandma lives on the big island I get worried for her. She lives at the top of the mountain but still she says the lava flows in the other direction but I don't trust volcanoes.

  29. the Menehune are on alert !

  30. being active again, its good, the earth is rdy for its 8th extinction, all americas fault

  31. Lots of rain will come to the drought areas, much needed

  32. Humans: let's build a city on a island on top of a volcano. Nothing could go wrong.

  33. Just FYI – the scenes of lava flows in this video are of Kilauea's eruptions, not Moana Loa's. Moana Loa is the largest regular active volcano on earth. The largest of any active volcanoes on earth is the Yellowstone supervolcano, the caldera (crater) of which is almost all of Yellowstone National Pk. Moana Loa is a dangerous & beautiful "shield" volcano, so called because its profile resembles a shield laid down face up. It's Big Island neighbor, Kilauea, is also a shield volcano. Moana Loa's immense size is measured from its base on the ocean floor to its highest peak. This also makes it taller from base to peak than Mt. Everest. Fortunately, Moana Loa is giving warning this time. In recorded memory, it has, occasionally, erupted with little or no warning at all. Please stay safe, people of the Big Island. Pele's on the move.

  34. I wonder when the yellowstone super volcano is going to erupt.

  35. There really has been more volcanic activity last few years. And heaven forbid if it's true, but I worry the recent Earthquake out West was related.
