Itās easier to get your child help than you realize. We experienced behavioral issues from my then 7 year old. They were bad enough to cause removal from the regular school system. We have help through the county mental health system, he has a therapist, behaviorist, psychiatrist and family support. Itās been a tough year juggling all of that, plus a newborn and I wonāt stop. I am doing everything in my power and he has had a major turn around both at school and home life. This is all free through the county you live in. Make the calls, this can be prevented a lot of times. Simply learning at a young ripe age how to properly handle your emotions with a natural chemical imbalance can truly re-route the path someone is on.
Not making the calls to address this properly is simply neglect. The resources are there, ISD schools are there, programs, the right people are all there.
How can the parents not help their child when he told them he had a problem mentally. That would scare me to death and break my heart that my child was going thru something like that.

Heās a child and he has mental problems. Giving somebody life in prison and having the taxpayers pay it is not helping anybody. Thatās not true justice. At least put them in a mental hospital for life and understand what exactly is going on so that we can put an end to this because itās still going on. We need to understand how to prevent and possibly how to treat those who might be the next shooters. This is a MENTAL ISSUE.

If you look at the family background of most school shooters they have experienced extreme neglect or donāt have any support from parents. Kids who feel like they have blessings in life do not commit these murderous acts, kids who feel hopeless and neglected on the other handā¦
