do not blame inflation on biden. oil companies, global industries, war and the supply chain has caused us to experience the current bump with inflation. every country on the planet is dealing with inflation. the world is trying to bounce back after 2 years of covid. think people think, inflation is 'global' not only in the united states.
It is an indictment of the Economics profession (to which alas I belong) that politicians, voters, journalists, alleged "analysts," economists themselves, and pretty much everyone else, either ignore or fail to mention that one must distinguish nominal increases in incomes, be they from wages, rents, or residual profits from inflation-adjusted changes. As a profession, it seems to me that we have utterly failed in educating anyone about anything, be it relevant for public policy, relevant for anything or anyone else, or completely irrelevant to everyone and everything.
Maybe try closing the tax loopholes that allow big businesses to avoid paying millions, maybe billions, of dollars in taxes. Why do you think the Orange Blunder doesn't want his tax returns looked at?
