The She-Suite founder and CEO Melissa Simkins argues it’s time to ‘reframe’ the problem as she discusses female leadership leaving roles behind.

  1. Sorry ladies you cannot do it all. Pick one. Be a mom or a career minded woman. Our your kids will suffer

  2. If you are quitting because of "microagressions" and not being paid for woke indoctrination you don't deserve to have a leadership job because you aren't a leader, you are an entitled sheep that produces 1/3 of what you should be if that.

  3. What if women aren’t cutting it? Look at women in government…Kamala Harris? Pelosi? Ocasio-Cortez? Are these competent women? Doing the same thing again and again and getting the same result is stupidity, not insanity. Maybe women can’t devote the kind of time needed to run a huge corporation? Maybe all jobs aren’t for everyone. You cat “do it all”…. No one can. It’s a stupid expectation.

  4. Bear in mind that any woman who intends to breed must set aside at least five years per child in which career must come second. That means reduced chances for promotion. The personal solution is to build up your support network so as to have help raising the kids, so you can devote more time to work without stinting the children.

  5. Wow, this is one of the first times insane disagreed with most of the comments posted here. What a bunch of woman haters. Reality is woman who want to be in management do also have many other responsibilities – family, kids, aging parents. I worked and my husband stayed home – but I still had 50% or more of household responsibility – that it NOT what men deal with it they work 50+ hrs/wk. Support your women don't bash them for wanting success. corporate America doesn't support both sexes. And working from home is not necessarily helping, because people expect you to ALWAYS be available

  9. Translation: we want what the men have, but we don’t want the consequences.

I don’t hear a whole lot of complaints when a nurse or a doctor leaves the profession. It’s only a problem when it’s a white collar CEO job with a top floor office and $50,000 signing bonus.

  10. When I see this I think of the strong woman in the Bible / woman are strong 💪

  11. "Time, is a man-made concept used to measure success." Albert Einstein.

It has nothing to do with how much money you have in the bank.

True leadership, is not a marketing tool. It's a set of core values developed within a person, that defines them as a leader. Leadership cannot be marketed or advertised as a principal. Because marketing and advertising is a tool used to circumnavigate your intelligence, just long enough to extort money from it. You cannot extort leadership, with marketing and advertising.

  13. Curious that y'all think that only women need to consider work/life balance.

  14. Maybe you should have thought about work-family balance before you took the job. If you take care of family business on company time, then you are stealing from the business with your time.

  15. Covid closures and lockdowns created many problems with work and home life. Being locked in your home for months with your spouse inadvertently created a lot of inter-relationship problems that led to breakups and divorce, unfortunately children in those homes still need a parent and the courts generally side with women. If your following along, women get divorced and get to keep the kids, this causes problems with their professional career. Its not the whole problem but i can bet its a large part of it recently. If courts gave men custody you would see men in the workforce start stepping down at higher rates so they can manage their children better. Or child care would become more important once men with children in single parent homes start working on the fix. Historically men just get better results much faster. Make it a mans problem and watch how fast it gets fixed.

  16. What a dumb idea… instead of women having to compete head to head with men… these stupid people want to change the rules for women….NO

  17. So you’re really saying you want your cake and eat it too. It’s not going to happen because corporations have to make profits for their shareholders.

  18. In the interest of equality, why do women outnumber men in the US and yet they make up less than half the workforce? Some of you ladies need to step up and take the reins😉

  19. Companies flattened the management hierarchy a couple generations ago, resulting in more hours on the managers remaining.

  20. Of course the Left will portray this as "Discrimination", "Sexism", and "Racism", but none of those are the case

  21. We need to discuss the plan.

  22. Women were built to become mothers to supply the workforce with potential workers

  23. wah wah wah News Flash "doing it all" comes with a heavy price and WE are all paying for it.

  24. I worked almost 40 years in corporate America. There are a lot of strong competent women in business at all levels. There are also those women at all levels that spend a lot of their time managing their families as well as their jobs during normal working hours. Sometimes you just can't be effective at one thing if serving two masters.
