What people are not being told is that the 24% raise is over 5 years. That’s 4.8% per year and just about 1% to 1.5% above the average cost of living rise every year. That raise is in line with every contract the railroads have negotiated for decades. Railroaders are asking to be able to call off sick to recover and not get fired for being off a Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday with an illness. They are just asking for normal every job accommodations like the rest of the world.
Puppet Biden will make sure the strike happens. If something makes the world more dangerous, more corrupt, more evil, and in general worse for America, Brandon supports it.
While I am all for time off (sick time), I want everybody to remember who's to blame…the government/owners! When (not if) shortages happen, they'll blame railway workers, just remember who actually holds the purse strings. I have seen many businesses in this type of fight, managers will offer anything-except time off. They won't (or can't) hire more workers, but in the end, it only means they're running too lean anyway, and the workers are paying the price with their health & well-being.

Companies better start taking care of who they have and who shows up for work. PEROID. There is a huge shortage of blue collar workers. No truck drivers ,no road state workers ,no construction workers etc. And what shows up for a job can't pass a drug test .CEOs and upper management make all the money. This younger generation will not do physical labor. There is a major shortage of workers who have to work outside in all kinds of weather.

The 24% raise is over 5 years ending in 2025. This will not catch employees up to the rise in inflation. After 2025 it could be another 3 or 4 years before there is another raise. Sick days are the least of most of the employees worries. We are more worried about keeping up
