Affirmative action should not be used at all today to give preference to one group over another based on race, that makes it racist and oppressive toward all other races accept blacks who are no longer in need of such preferential treatment.
People a apparently too young or stupid to remember when well qualified African Americans, Hispanic Americans AND Asian Americans, had there applications thrown in the garbage can by white Americans as soon as they walked out of the interview room, and that's what will happen again with out Affirmative Action, it's sad we need it, but people simply wont do what's right!!!!

When they talk about systemic racism it is codework for not Asian, even though the first Asian American. Chinese American specifically that challenged in court the segregation of Chinese American students from white schools in San Francisco. It was Asian Americans that suffered the most under the exclusion act for nearly a century that opened America’s eyes to its evils and ultimately paved the way for other groups like Hispanics to even come here in the first place. America cannot and must not deny or try to erase her history because an injustice to one is an injustice to all. The admissions process paints Asians as foreigners incapable of compassion or integrity or leadership, these are the same stereotypes we used in the last against many other groups. It was this idea of foreign that the largest lynching in California or even us history occurred in Los Angeles over 150 years ago when A mob of mostly Hispanic men lynched dozens of innocent Chinese immigrants and Chinese Americans simply as scapegoats.
Ketanji Brown should recuse herself from this case.

Harvard and other IVY league schools are not intellectually elite schools but have a preponderance of average students including Legacy, Diversity and athletic scholarship students. Why pretend? In the end schools can not transform anyone into an intellectual but give the student a credential based on paying tuition and showing up!

It's always interesting to me when people complain that affirmative action prevented them from getting in but not that people have bought their way in (USC). Additionally, a lot of the students complaining are cookie cutters. If there's nothing differing you from the other 20 applicants that have taken all AP course, why should you get in? Like seriously 🙄 Let's take out all descriptive factors and just assign numbers. I'm sure we'll still have the same problem. No school or job wants 20 of the exact same person.

"I'm black" is no longer excusable. Racial quotas hurt innovation and results in a poorer, less capable workforce.
Should be based on qualifications alone. They need to do away too with the race and gender questions on employment applications. I know they are "optional" but I can see some left-leaning liberal HR screener discarding applications simply because they checked the "Prefer Not to Answer" box.

The society should help the poor black kids. But helping them via the Affirmative Action is a very bad idea because it's too late. Poor black kids need to be helped when they are in primary schools, in order to give them equal opportunities. Lowering the bar for them to get into colleges is cheating to get equal outcome which should be illegal. The society should strive for equal opportunity instead of equal outcome. If we lower the bar for blacks for college admission, what about lowering the qualification score of board exam for doctors for blacks? What about lowering the bars for all kinds of professional certification tests for blacks? The answer is obvious. If you want to help the blacks, help them early instead of late when they are evaluated.
