Michael Jordan joined “Meet the Press” on February 9, 1997, the year that both “Meet the Press” and the National Basketball Association turned 50. Moderator Tim Russert asked Jordan what the NBA would look like without him. Jordan replied and said “the NBA will be just fine.” Jordan retired in 2003, for a third and final time.
