They should make it a Federal law that the death penalty is mandatory for ANY mass shooter.
One of the killer’s motive was that he didn’t want to follow the rules and be told what to do anymore. He’s in the worst of hell right now, he will be treated like a subhuman the rest of his life, he will only be a number in the system and if he’s confined to solitary or to the general population each of those options are horrific and his life sentence will be worse than death, for decades and decades to come. I hope the parents and love ones of the victims find peace someway or another, I can only begin to imagine the pain they’ll have to carry for the rest of their lives.

The thing about life in prison and the death penalty, and plz correct me if I'm wrong, is that even though few people get the lethal injection or the electric chair, people who are sentenced to die are put in solitary confinement… whereas people who get life are often put in general population.
I wonder if Nick is going to stay in general population with the rest of inmates or will have to serve his sentence in confinement.

I don't "get" how some people can demand death for Cruz for killing. Eye for an eye went out with the loin cloth. Also, not so sure the single juror was "threatened" but may think she needs an "out" about now. He is not a Bundy, Dahmer or Nikko. The insane behavior of grieving parents to demand someone else die is disgusting. They will get their wish because life "inside" (for Cruz) will be horrific because of it. I strongly disagree with this parents claims that not getting the death penalty prompt more school shootings. You really think a shooter cares weather they get life or death? If they did they wouldn't do the crime to begin with. Most Kill them selves after anyway but regardless jail isn't a walk in the park.
You've just stated the shooter engaged in watching previous shootings to learn how to do this one well it should be no brainer to think well maybe it should no longer be aired for them to watch, stop uploading them on YouTube for them to study.

Vengeful! They wanted revenge and not justice! They should have never went for death with Cruz's medical background. Other states don't even have the death penalty. Next mass shooter can be in a state without the death penalty then what? Life without parole is a just result! One of the jurors didn't have made their mind made up. This guy is making stuff up now and wanting the sentencing verdict to change. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.
My heartfelt condolences and sympathy for the families of these victims. I just can't believe that despite all the aggravating factors were there for a judgemental for death and I can't believe this is even allowed.
Don't worry sir, Cruz will suffer a far more painful and terrifying death than the government would ever impose. And in the meantime he will always be on the lookout, 24/7, never knowing when or from where it will come.

I’m back-and-forth on whether I agree with the death penalty or not I have a masters in forensic psychology and we’ve learned a lot about the death penalty and I’m back-and-forth on whether I agree with it or not I go back-and-forth sometimes I think I do agree with it and then other times I don’t really agree with it
I think people really just want to hear that he can get the death penalty because it’s like equal to what their kids gotIt’s kind of like an eye for an eye but at the same time life the rest of your life in prison is just as bad I personally think it’s worse . Not a lot of states including Maryland relative abolish the death penalty there’s really no point in the death penalty because when you get life without parole then you’re in there until you die anyway and when you get the death penalty if you do get executed the people who perform the execution or not you didn’t even really trained they mess it up a lot and on top of that it’s very traumatic for the people who have to do it it’s not a Doctor Who does it it’s like the jail warden people. I think the death penalty is more or less pointless because when you die in prison it’s a death penalty anyway
On top of that the majority of death penalty convictions are overturn or reduced to life in prison and even the ones that do get the death penalty are rarely executed although it does happen more in Texas . Personally I don’t think it really matters if somebody gets life without ever getting out or the death penalty there’s not really that much of a difference it’s just how long it takes before you die in prison it’s not really that much of a difference it’s not like they’re gonna have some great life I would hate living with the rest of my life in prison I’d rather be dead
Life without parole and never being able to get out is literally the same thing as a death penalty it’s just takes longer it’s not any different really doesn’t really make a difference if you’re gonna be in prison for the rest your life it’s just as bad and you’re still gonna die there it’s not really any different it’s just a longer time before you die
