Can someone explain to me how in this states election race Cortez Masto is considered the winner when she only has about 5,000-6,000 more votes than her opponent but in Georgia it’s considered a run-off when the person in the lead is up by 30,000+ votes? I genuinely don’t understand the whole run-off thing and how it works.

Did she really win? Here is my calculation of the vote count. Laxalt. 481,273. 12070 wanted neither candidate. 7840 had no preference. 6242 voted for the libertarian party. 5078 voted for the independent party. All that equals to 512,503 that DID NOT VOTE for masto SO… SHE DID NOT WIN!! Masto only had 487,829 votes. She lost by 24,374 votes!!!
