An 8-year-old elementary school student from Kentucky took matters into his own hands in order to save money to buy himself an XBox by applying for a job at a local restaurant. NBC News’ Savannah Sellers has the story.

A lot of mom and pop stores give kids a few tasks for spending money. But that's a large restaurant chain so I'm not surprised that they couldn't extend a job to him but at least they gave him an Xbox!

No one is going to mention this conflict of interest towards violations of child labor laws for rewarding 8 year olds willing to illegally perform manual labor for compensation? Are we in fact rewarding and enabling his willingness to break the law by providing whatever he wanted to spend the proceeds of illegal compensation on? Jus sayin… Even an attempt to fraudulently obtain employment is illegal in America and to reward compensation for an attempt is also illegal… He probably should have to return the Xbox until he can purchase or obtain one legally… I diminished this moment… #MomentDiminisher
