She supports it cause she already made it why tf would she care. She's gets her education and she gets to keep her pristine looking ideals but for the other thousands of Asians who are just as qualified or more than her and many Harvard students it's a different story and she could care less

The major ignorance with Chelea Wang is the fact that she does not research her own data. She's at Harvard, where the brightest attend, but yet cannot do her own due diligence. For starters, 69% of Asian Americans supporting affirmative action is a report generated by a progressive liberal organizations (APIA Vote, AAPI Data, and Asian Americans Advancing Justice-AAJC) that sampled only 1,569 Asian American
registered voters. There are 18.6 million Asian Americans living in the US, thus the sample size is not indicative of the data. Second, many of the Southeast Asia Americans in American faces the same obstacles and "don't have the same educational opportunities" and actually attend those same schools as the Blacks and Latinos that Chelea is advocating for. Third, her example with the UC schools, claiming "… we (UC schools) just haven't been able to see the same kind of diversity." According to the LA Times in 2020, "In a historic shift, Latinos are the leading group of prospective freshmen accepted into the University of California for fall 2020".
It is exactly discrimination that to judge people through their color of skin, period!!
Being accepted based solely on academic merit doesn't make sense to me because it needs to be clarified what merit is and how merit is developed. In this racialized society, people don't have equal and equitable education and social experience. Affirmative action policy considers such inequitable and unequal realities in education.
I know growing up in crappy trailerparks most of my life tons of white people on government assistance and dropping out of school early or scoring low on tests. What about them?
