This will be the ultimate in-party fight. They will get nothing done except disbanding the January 6th committee. They will take over the House and for maybe a month, they will put on a (fake) unified front, but it will quickly unravel. The republicans won't pass any meanigful legislation in the next two years. Their only accomplishment will be to show the American public that they are a bunch of haters and fighters, even amongst themselves. 2024 will come quickly, and the House will return to the Democrats. The Senate will remain with the Democrats, as they will share in the pain brought on by the do-nothing House, and the Democrats will stay in the Whitehouse another four years. Then we will see the Democrats appoint one or even two Justices, and real balance (and hopefully integrity) will start to return to the Supreme court.
Why it takes this long to declare the results? This is USA (not third world). Even third world countries are more efficient than what we see in recent years in the USA.
