Growing Protests In China Over Zero-Covid Restrictions

The protests in Xinjiang broke out overnight after a deadly apartment fire killed ten people, including three kids. Videos on social media appear to show emergency crews slowed down by Covid measures around the high-rise, taking three hours to put the flames out. China’s government tried tweaking the Covid rules, but with record high cases, they’re bearing down again, but now, with pushback from citizens all across the country.

  1. Please pray for diplomacy and freedom for my country. In the past decade, China has changed tremendously for the worse under Xi. I admire the courage of the students and protestors across China. They stood out for us and our future. but in the meantime, I am extremely worried about their safety, I fear what could happen to them. Please pray for them.

  2. We need to legislate American companies to pay the minimum wage according to the U.S. Labor laws abroad across all foreign countries. How can we as Americans say to the world we believe in freedom and liberty then purchase goods imported from a country who oppress their people and buy goods from a company who pays the the oppressed people an unlivable wage?

  3. Please support the Chinese people's struggle for human rights and freedoms.

  4. Please help those poor Chinese people. They know exactly what it means to protest against the government in China, however, regardless of the risk of exposing themselves to any danger, they stood up to make their voices heard. Excellent

  5. When you've had enough, you've had enough

  6. They do this to make the citizens even more compliant to the government. It's about control.
    NO MENTION OF DEATHS….JUST CASES?…
THE ONLY DANGER HERE IS THE TOTALITARIAN GOVERNMENT.

  7. It's a big country. This doesn't look like something to threaten Beijing's rule. It will take a lot more than that. Dynasties in China seem to come in three hundred year cycles, and this one has total power, totalitarian. I certainly pray for the best, but we should gird for the worst. Collapse of their former communist patron, Moscow, might help.

  8. You know what could fix this? If the Chinese people were armed.

  9. Please be clear. By “slowed down”, you mean “the ccp welded apartment doors shut so it was impossible for people to escape the fire”

  10. It's people can't get over covid I've been over with this

  11. I have longed to go to China. I love its history I love its language. I love its art I love its countryside I can’t wait to go there. I hope things change soon. These people are my absolute heroes. They know what they face when they protest like the fighters of Ukraine must have known with Russia. Unfortunately, we cannot help this time, except write to our government to send support.

  12. I hope the EU Poltician make not more Deals about the Human Rights! Its Time to say no the Price is to high!

  13. My heroes ❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👏👏👏

  14. It’s very simple – there are only 2 types of citizens in this world – those who stand up for freedom and those who kneel for tyranny. Once you kneel, expect to never be allowed to rise again.

  15. Hong Kongers stand with Chinese

  16. I literally cried watching this short video. In a country like China where I cannot even imagine protests happening, I know these people took IMMENSE courage to do those things.

  17. FAKE NEWS – China is Just Fine Tks !

  18. …And the CCP gives in and decides to do the right thing by offering Pfizer and Moderna to their ppl and ease restrictions… PFFFTTT – NOT !!!! They will haul them in front of a faux political tribunal trials just like January 6th. They will call them insurrectionists. Everywhere. On their phones, their tvs, their smart watches. Insurrectionists. And they will follow up with language like – lost their jobs, prison time, no one wants to be near an insurrectionist. They will flood the airwaves with the propaganda that the CCP is doing the right thing, and to trust their government-they are here to help you. LMAO. If ppl were a little more caring about other ppl these things wouldn't happen. Basic human decency. It starts by washing your hands and not going out when you are sick. pick up after yourself. Be smart. be caring. Be kind. BUT NO – we all live in this bubble that the most important thing is whatever is happening in our lives (myself included). these concepts extend to caring and understanding of other ppls views. The BLM ppl. The January 6th PPL. These ppl are upset. They should all be heard. Same for the anti CCP ppl and the pro CCP people. Can we talk it out? NAH. Just start raging to be heard.

  19. Radio Hong Kong didn’t report this news.

  20. Enough is enough!!!
    💪💪💪

  21. Literally brought tears to my eyes. People who dare to sacrifice their safety to speak up against this tyrannical government definitely deserve the highest regard to them. People should not and will not be silenced. As Chinese citizens, we are all witnessing history today.

  22. Does China leadership realize they’ll never get rid of Covid? They’re going to have a locked down decade if they keep this BS up. But everyone in college loves to act like communism is so great. Smh.

  23. I pray for the citizens of china. A truly frightening regime.

  24. Freedom Chinese people

  25. The American left would love these kind of lockdowns

  26. Real patriots standing for what they believe in 🥲 beautiful. Hopefully they win their freedom in the future

  27. Please continue to pay attention to the protests in China, we need the eyes of the world, without your support, Xi Jinping and his authoritarian government will be more reckless. Your attention saves life.

  28. This is even more shocking for people who understand Chinese, they literally shouted: "End Communist rule!" This has never happened in history, not even in 1989

  29. Add to this the collapse of the real estate market and it looks like the Chinese dictatorship—like all dictatorships eventually—will fall. RIP CCP.

  30. The Chinese dictatorship has already gone down and so has the three gorges dam otherwise none of this would be happening! my heart goes out to the Chinese people who have endured so much!

  31. California and china are similar

  32. Ever since Covid cases continues to go higher in China people gets still angry and protesting thinking it’s deja vu all over again social distancing and masking and lockdown caused many schools businesses closed again till further notice people throwing stuff and a fire that killed 10 people including kids

  33. And just last year anyone who protested against covid measures in America or the west was vilified. Nothing more than state sponsored propaganda the media is.
