Mark says the FTX (the company) is mania. The woman (Dagen) takes that as the entire crypto market is "digital beenie babies".
Mark then goes on to correct by saying crypto is contained and is basically not a "digital beenie/Swedish Fish" like the woman was saying.
Bitcoin is not cryptocurrency, Bitcoin is not FTX, and Bitcoin is not "digital beenie babies/Swedish Fish".
If today were a day in 1995, this woman would have also said that Internet was a failure and would have Clifford Stoll on her TV show.
The point is: Many centralized crypto currency will end up failing during this winter. Bitcoin and ETH will survive. The fact of the matter is with the mass development of Artificial Intelligence, one needs a monetary system that will work at the speed of the internet. I am not a supporter of FTX of SBF but there were scammers like Jordan Belfort in the Wall Street in the 1970s and 1980s as well. Does that mean the entire Wall Street is a scam?
