I lived across the street from my elementary school, we were usually late just about every day because we we busy running around, hoping fences etc. We'd show up half worn out from playing outside😜

I think the government should give reparations for then lock downs and how it hurts kids plus the cops and prosecutor should be fired for not letting a kids learn to be independent. They seem to not have a problem letting teachers try to make your boy into girl and visa versa

Children need some free constructive time.
Walking to a park or school? In my day, ok. Today, with the craziness around, and road rage, not so much.
But running around in a store? Look, I have to be careful because of bad knees. I do not need a fall.
Touching and damaging food displays in a store? Who is getting to pay for that? That is right, the rest of us? Maybe stores should bill parents for the damage they cause.
Eat what they want? This dad wants to turn his children to the size of Zeppelins?
What ever happened to the concept there is a proper time and place for particular actions?

When my son was in the first grade, we lived a little over half a mile from school and they didn't offer bussing if you lived within a mile.
