Second Amendment to the United States Constitution – "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Fundamentally what created our country was our ability as a people to rise against the government as they become tyrannical in nature.
The Second Amendment IS the voice of the people, with no Second Amendment there is no First. Without even considering the empirical data, and self defense arguments which have merit of their own, it allows the people the option of non-compliance to Government which without, is forfeit. I'm going to take a shot in the dark and imagine that Hong Kong's protests don't favor the protestors having to fight back against THEIR tyrannical government with archery equipment. If you disagree with Government or Politics, the 2nd Amendment is the right of the PEOPLE. I may have been born in Korea, but I was raised American, Protect the FREE PEOPLE
We should pass a law the bans the right to leftist free speech on the internet, because the amendment only says the "press", which means printed material, and the "founders couldn't not have imagined the internet in their time" and "they did mean the internet". Apply the same logic they use to limit their rights. BTW: The founders also could not have imagined mass genocide of 1.3 million babies per year, and there is ZERO protection for that "right".
Take away guns, and criminals will always have guns.

I grew up in KY and I'm absolutely ashamed of Comer. Does he think we don't see through his cowardice? That bullshht about gun laws don't do anything is laughable when we not only saw huge drops in gun deaths when we had gun bans, but we can also look at many other countries that have gun bans, and they've lost less lives to gun violence in 20 years than the U.S. has in 1 f'ing day! Comer is a joke. What a waste of our tax dollars!
This isn't just about mental health, it's about the easy access to any kind of weapons for anybody that wants them.

Comer is disgusting – and that comes from someone whose family lives in his district. It's a rural community where everyone has a rifle in their closest. They think their hunting guns will be taken away with gun control – not true. How the H*** Comer got where he is on the committee is beyond me. Comer represents Paducah in the furthermost western part of KY. He lives in Tompkinsville, in the foothills of the Appalachia – 3 hours difference. He doesn't represent them very well, and doesn't know them.
As someone else pointed out in another clip from this show, Ask Comer about Marilyn Thomas. Thomas who dated gubernatorial candidate James Comer while the two were in college said in a letter to The Courier-Journal recently that he was physically and mentally abusive to her during what she said was a two-year relationship. Even drove her to get an abortion and not to put his name on any of the paperwork.
This hypocrite thinks he should be able to attack Hunter Biden and President Biden on their ethics when he has such skeletons in his past.

To side 1: They always say "we have 'many' gun laws" without saying what those laws are.
To the question of banning semi-automatic assault rifles they never say which law already apply to regulate those weapons even if they are not banned.
To side 2: People who are against guns and want them banned, you have your answer: there are enough laws in the books. Why do you keep hammering that point? Why not move forward and ask for better enforcement of those laws?

One night I went to her local walmart and purchased 22 cal rounds no questions asked I was with my daughter who looks very young for her age I was also purchasing other items and beer which the woman at the register refused to allow me to buy since my daughter did not have ID I complained and another woman at the next register said to give it to me since my daughter look like me. But she had no problem if I bought several hundred round of ammo. I guess a child is more dangerous to people with a case of beer than round for an AR 15.I could have probably bought a gun that night but not beer.
My daughter lives in Virginia, she is getting a motorcycle license next spring 1 must apply for permit, 2 take a written test, 3 take road test plus have an approved helmet so she can ride legally a 200cc motorcycle. She may also have to take an eye test as we do in NJ. Why is it harder to get a license to ride a bike than buy a gun, bikes usually only hurt the riders not unintentionally as opposed to someone with a semiautomatic with multiple clips.

He says places with strictest gun laws have the most gun violence and the opposite with lax law cities, you show him the statistics that, surprise surprise, if you have less access to guns you get less gun violence. What does he retort with? Well in the rural areas we just don't see as much gun violence cuz the criminals know these people are smart and exercise their 2nd ammendment rights so they don't try that there… WTAF?
Again go look at actual data and again, it will show that less gun laws means more gun violence, even in rural areas. Yes, a red rural area may have "less" gun violence than a blue strict law city. That's not because they have guns, that's because they have guns but not enough people to get the nr's you see in a big city. (that's not even taking into account how lack of gun control in the red states influences gun violence in blue states that try to control those guns)
But noooo, he's gonna do the real issues. How to get laws on the books to get people addicted to fentanyl or whatever behind bars. Cuz next to guns, thats where the ffing money is.
