  1. I like how he apologized to them even though he was almost at death..

  2. Who tf goes hiking in slides? Man's didn't even bother to bring socks.
Always be prepared for emergencies before you go camping.

  3. He's wearing sandals at first and then barefoot to the helicopter.
Also, missing weeks worth of facial hair……

  4. Why not the dude that lost come on air to talk

  5. I need more background. How he get lost? He went hiking by himself? Netflix documentary please 🤔

  6. Look. Some people are alone in life, & that's just how it is, & ok with it. Stop judging. Pathetic.

  7. Uhm… You're assuming millenials & gen z know what a compass is, & how to use it. They can't even use a manual can opener. Ugh.

  8. Not compass OR GPS.. Compass (and map) AND GPS. Know some regional landmarks for orienting, and know how up use a compass and a map. Gps batteries can die.

At least if you are going to be out any distance

  9. Make sure someone knows where you are and how long you’ll be gone. Set a specific time limit for contact- if you think you’ll be gone 4 hours, your contact should call police after 8, etc.

  10. Tell someone you're out. Carry flares.

  11. Some people are so gullible, that's a homeless meth head who lives in the forest, not a lost hiker!

  12. Homeless California Hiker Runs out of Meth and calls for help in his Sliders!

  13. wait, what happened to his shoes?

  14. Something not right here. A hiker in sandals, very clean shaven & no one reported him missing? A Follow-Up from this station is warranted I think!

  15. Incredible! 💕 Please, all, let someone know when you're going hiking, where you'll be, when you'll return. Doesn't have to be intrusive, just route details & a quick check in when returning.

  16. Angels involved . What are the odds

  17. He was not missing, he was lost,
To be missing someone has to file a report stating he was missing, quit reporting false news,

  18. Valdivia!? I never hear of people with my maiden name!

  19. Yes these hikers need to tell people where they're going they need to carry supplies for emergencies and they need to carry some type of location device this has been told year after year after year after decade after decade to people and people still do not listen. Stay on the trail why would you ever get off the trail when you're hiking alone is beyond me..
. I'm glad the man is safe and has been rescued but don't ever go hiking alone unless you tell somebody where you are going and you take supplies with you

  20. How far deep was he in the forest they never said ?

  21. Bullsh*t! Looks fairly freshly shaved for some dude stranded for two weeks. Not buying it.

  22. This young man was so lucky. ❤ He didn't seem to be a regular hiker. You always need supplies and equipment with you even for short hikes.🧭🥾 It looks like this area has a lot of hikers and walkers going through it. The terrain looks so similar all around. A twisted ankle or other injury can happen. Also let someone know you are hiking.

The area is beautiful. It's so easy to go for a walk and get turned around. This man found water and stayed there while listening for someone come.👍🏻 This situation turned out wonderful. 🤠 So glad for this young man to be rescued. The rescuers did a great job of getting him out and getting his health checked. ❤❤❤

  23. I’m skeptical. I can’t see somebody being in the wilderness that long and looking that clean-shaven. I don’t usually hear of hikers carrying shaving equipment. But it’s possible. And nobody calling to report him missing? Publicity stunt maybe? I could be wrong.

  24. Always tell people your itinerary when solo hiking.

  25. Why do they have to record him though ?

  26. Sad his family didn't notice him missing, I'd like to think if I went missing I'd be reported missing.

  27. Who is this man and where is his family? He was not reported missing by anyone? Poor guy to think he gave up on life a couple days prior to finally have a miracle happen for him. I hope his belly is full and his body is warm now.

  28. Poor guy. Glad he's now safe, am sure he just thought he could take a small walk. He didn't plan to get lost and starving for weeks. In he's defense many of us who enjoy walking get a little adventurous and go off path without thinking about getting lost. He had bad luck. 💐
