A federal judge has declined a request from the Justice Department to hold the office of former President Trump in contempt since his team did not comply with a subpoena back in May. NBC News’ Ken Dilanian has the latest.

The judge did the right thing. If the DOJ had-their-act-together-here, they would already have charged Donald Trump! Why haven't they already done so? That's the $64K question. if it were any other AMERICAN, they'ed be locked-up already! In addition, if DOJ wanted to appeal for CONTEMPT, they should have filed it against Trump himself. How could a judge HOLD a bunch of attorneys in contempt for their client not producing the stolen items in question; answer, it would be foolish, and the judge understood this full well. DOJ; Arrest Donald J. Trump, and let the legal system do it's work….. he either is convicted or he walks. Right now, the injured parties are the American people and the Rule of Law, as it is being tarnished for clearly for showing partial favor towards Trump concerning ALL of his obvious lawlessness…

Also don't forget the Judge also knows that the Special counsel, Jack Smith who handles war crimes, is also involved with a number of cases with regard to Trump. These are very important documents doj knows exactly Which documents they're looking for and they know exactly when the documents were requested and they know exactly who requested them and they know that the documents have not been returned those documents as well as all the other $11,000 documents were pretty much requested at the same time so it doesn't take a rocket scientist to to know that Trump is responsible for the return of all of the documents.
Just because you know what documents are missing doesn't mean you know where the documents are at just because you know who stole the documents doesn't mean you know where they put them or what they did with them.
The contempt order should be simple put him in jail until the documents are found.
