A lot of people ask "Why are people OK with Crossdressing and not drag queens?" That answer comes down to look and attitude. Its like putting a Blob Fish next to a Koi or a Rap Artist next to a Blues Artist or comparing A Playboy to a Renaissance art or a Manag to a Comic Book a hoagie and a Hotdog a Duck and a Goose , Baseball and Cricket . A mime and a clown, The two are the same in ways but very different. and its those differences that mean a lot to how people see drag queens. Its like A Sphinx is a cat but its not a Persian. Its very hard to get people to be ok with some one with a very bold look trying to change socially acceptable norms by telling children to imitate there example. and Most people don't even know what the end goal is. If its freedom to dress in the way you feel comfortable then you should do more. Drag Queen is just 1 of 1,000 things you can do with that message and I think you can go farther with it. If you want to spread the message of "Every one regardless of age dress as I dress and do as I do make me the new social norm" then you have much more of a struggle it might be better to try a different approach. People have there minds set on what clothing and hair styles equate to proper and trying to change that might mean you having to start a music group or a TV series or a movie or a comic book or a video game or run for President. In a room full of people all being there own thing with no one to judge them you'll find acceptance in a room full of people who all do what they have always done for 50 or 100 years getting them to try some thing different means making it cool not making it subversive.
