WMC’s Taylor Tucker sat down with 18-year-old Jaylen Smith who was elected as the mayor of Earle, Arkansas, to talk about his plans for the city. Smith’s win makes him the youngest Black mayor to hold the position in the country.

He's at a great age to break in politics. Many politicians may not come out to be mayor but they start right out of high school. This is his learning ground. To reach across aisles and learn from his elders who has walked his path already.
