Haven't had much to agree with Republicans the past few years but I do agree the nation needs to know exactly what caused the security failures on January 6th.
Why weren't law enforcement & security prepared for what happened? It wasn't a surprise that crowds supporting the former president were going to be in DC.
Why were warning signs ignored or at least not followed up on?
Why did it take so long to get reinforcements to the Capital to stop the violence & secure the safety of all in the Capital buildings?
IMO certain people told the Capital police, the DC police, the National Guard plus the FBI & Homeland Security to stand down.
Like Trump telling his secret service team he didn't care that his followers were armed, they wouldn't hurt him. He didn't convince the Secret Service but I think others in DC deliberately chose not to be ready for what happened. They too wanted the illegal overturning of the election. They betrayed their duties & oaths of office.
So Republicans, dig deep & figure out who ignored the danger & made sure no one was prepared.
