The two things the US excels at is industrialization and selling out so combine the two. Imagine if Dubai rented space along the NM, TX and AZ border and instead of a wall, built an oasis along the border where everyone wanted to vacation? Why send our tax money to improve the middle east desert when we got our own desert to be spoil?
Imagine if the NM, TX and AZ border was a spotless paradise of 40 story hotels?! In short a better place for immigrants to go while adding a city the size of Chicago to the economy every couple years. AND without ever changing the voter roll. We can put all that income toward education and infrastructure. How might 50 years of this investment in society effect our youth? Plenty of work for immigrants and gringos alike. Industrialists could make billions more off the US. In fact! Divert the energy of the Military/Industrial complex in a positive way so no one has to be assassinated. Immigrants could live in Mexico where it's affordable and work ON the border in a demilitarized zone without ever entering the country. Maybe all the Palestinians could relocate?
It would also be a great buffer against the cartel by being a magnet for drugs. The War on Drugs would take on a whole new meaning. Chicago could become a less valuable market to the cartel. And the problem with the cartel on the border? Who better to take the fight to them than some everyday Arabs?! The cartel couldn't behead their way out of that situation.
Here's another way, the American way…when alternative energy steals the coal miners away from the mines the coal barons like Senator Manchin can move their operation to the border where they can continue to thrive off the exploited poor by running industrial immigration camps. They could mirror traditional coal camps. Manchin could print up money with his face on it for use at the company store. Instead of mines the immigrants would literally #buildthewall. I'm sure Trump's remaining loyal few would love that last idea.
